Survey Manager
Survey Manager is where your questionnaires come to life after they're designed. It handles everything that happens once a survey exists: getting it in front of the right people, slicing your audience, triggering on-site actions, sending messages across channels, and chaining follow-ups. Its real strength is targeting — getting the right message to the right person at the right moment, based on how they answered and who they are.
Everything in Survey Manager belongs to a workspace. A workspace keeps one team's surveys, audiences and messaging neatly separated, so you only ever work with your own data.
Designing vs. managing
Building a survey's questions, logic and branding happens in the survey builder, which you reach from your survey library. This guide focuses on what comes next — managing, distributing and following up.
What you can do
Surveys & templates
Create, build and reuse questionnaires across workspaces.
Segments
Define audience slices based on answers and metadata.
On-site campaigns
Trigger actions on the thank-you screen the moment someone responds.
Web integration & public links
Embed a widget on your site or share a public survey link.
Set up & install
Get feedback collection running on your website, store or app.
Messaging pipelines
Send surveys by email, SMS and Viber with full control of timing.
Routing, queue & bridges
Route responses, monitor the dispatch queue and automate recipient imports.
Follow-up sequences
Chain one survey to another to dig deeper or recover an experience.
Overview dashboard
The landing page for Survey Manager is an Overview dashboard: a grid of cards that give you a glance at everything set up and running across your organization. Each card pulls its own numbers and links straight to the area it summarizes.
- Surveys — the total number of surveys, split into those built from scratch (custom) versus those cloned from a template. Opens Surveys & templates.
- Segments — how many distinct segments you have, split by whether they're currently active or inactive.
- Distribution — your two self-serve channels: the number of live web integrations (on-site widgets switched on) and the number of surveys shared through a public link. Each number links to its own page.
- Campaigns — the count of distinct campaigns with a donut breaking them down by type.
- Pipelines — the count of distinct pipelines, a breakdown by channel (email, SMS, Viber), and how many are active, upcoming (scheduled for later) or ended.
- Sequences — the count of distinct follow-up sequences with a donut breaking them down by type (Manual, Recovery, Product review).
Counts are deduplicated
The same segment, campaign, pipeline or sequence can exist across several surveys or workspaces. The dashboard counts each distinct one — matching what you see on its detail page — rather than every per-survey copy.
How it fits together
The areas of Survey Manager form a path from a designed survey to a delivered follow-up:
- A survey collects responses, distributed through a web integration, a public link, or an on-site campaign.
- Segments slice those responses by answers and metadata, so campaigns and rules can target precisely.
- Routing rules decide which pipeline each response flows into, and the pipeline delivers a message by email, SMS or Viber.
- Every message becomes a queue item you can watch, while sequences chain one survey to another to keep the conversation going.
The Overview dashboard is your way in: spot the area that needs attention, click its card, and you're there.
Key concepts
A handful of ideas show up everywhere in Survey Manager. Once they click, the rest follows naturally.
Survey (questionnaire)
A survey, or questionnaire, is the set of questions a respondent answers. Surveys can be standalone or connected to a shared template. Learn more in Surveys & templates.
Template
A template is a master design you can reuse across many workspaces. Update the template once and push the changes to every connected survey, while each workspace keeps its own customizations.
Segment
A segment is a named slice of your audience, defined by conditions on answers or metadata. Segments power your campaigns and let you target precisely.
Campaign
A campaign is an action that fires the instant someone finishes a survey — on the thank-you screen — personalized to that respondent.
Pipeline
A pipeline defines how and when a response is delivered as a message — by email, SMS or Viber — including content, scheduling and translations.
Sequence
A sequence chains one survey to another, queuing a follow-up survey whenever a response arrives.
Queue
The queue is the outbound message queue — every message waiting to send or already sent, with its status and source.
Workspace
A workspace is the container for everything above. All your surveys, segments, campaigns, pipelines and sequences are scoped to it.
Edit once, apply everywhere
When campaigns, segments, pipelines, sequences or bridges are identical across surveys or workspaces, Survey Manager groups them into a single card. Edit that card once and your changes apply everywhere it's used.
