e-sat.ly
e-sat.ly is the e-satisfaction suite's own link shortener. It turns a long URL into a short one like https://e-sat.ly/4kQm2, sends anyone who opens it straight to the original destination, and records the click so you can see what's actually being opened.
You've almost certainly used it already without thinking about it. Every SMS and Viber survey invitation the suite sends has its link shortened by e-sat.ly by default — that's what keeps a message inside one SMS segment instead of two. What's new is that you can now see and manage those links yourself, in a console of your own.
What you can do with it
- Shorten links automatically — the suite does this for you on every SMS and Viber send, with no setup.
- Create links from your own systems — call the API with a project key and get a short link back.
- Keep the links that matter — mark a link as pinned so it's never cleaned up. Ideal for a QR code already printed on something.
- See the clicks — how many, from which countries, on which devices, over time. See Clicks & analytics.
- Control how long data is kept — set a retention window per project.
The two addresses
This is the first thing to get straight, because e-sat.ly lives at two different web addresses that do two completely different jobs.
| Address | What it is | Who it's for |
|---|---|---|
e-sat.ly | The short links themselves. Opening e-sat.ly/4kQm2 redirects to the destination. | Your customers — anyone who receives a link. No sign-in. |
esatly.e-satisfaction.com | The console — the screens where you see links, clicks, projects and settings. | You and your team. Sign-in required. |
The short domain is deliberately kept as short as possible — every character in it costs you SMS characters — which is exactly why it isn't the same address as the console.
Two addresses, one product
Your customers only ever see e-sat.ly. You only ever work in esatly.e-satisfaction.com. Nothing your customers can reach requires a login, and nothing in the console is publicly visible.
Signing in to the console
The console uses the same e-satisfaction account as every other product in the suite — the same single sign-on described in Identity & Account. Go to esatly.e-satisfaction.com, sign in, and you'll land on your organization's e-sat.ly overview. If you belong to more than one organization, you can switch between them from the top bar as usual.
How it's organized
Everything in e-sat.ly hangs off a project. A project owns a set of links, holds the API key used to create them, and carries its own data retention setting. Most organizations need only a handful.
Inside the console you'll find:
- Analytics — an Overview dashboard, Short Links (every link, filterable), Pinned Links, and Clicks (the raw click events).
- Configuration — Projects (and their API keys), and Usage.
