Data residency
Data residency is the geographic region where your organization's data is physically stored. e-satisfaction pins each product's data to a specific region, which helps you meet your privacy, security and legal requirements — things like regulatory compliance, data sovereignty, and lower latency for the people working with the data. Admin only
This page shows you exactly where each product keeps its data, so you can confirm it lines up with the rules that apply to your organization.
Where your data lives today
Right now, every product stores its data in the European Union. That covers both the products you use directly and the shared infrastructure behind them.
| Product / service | What it stores | Region |
|---|---|---|
| Data Sources | Surveys, emails, Google reviews, queue items | European Union |
| Insights | Reports and analytics | European Union |
| Customers | Customer records | European Union |
| Alerts | Alerts and follow-ups | European Union |
| AtlasAI | AI analysis data | European Union |
| Data Warehouse | Shared analytical infrastructure | European Union |
Because everything sits in the EU, your data stays within a single, well-understood regulatory area — which keeps GDPR and similar compliance straightforward.
Choosing a region
Informational for now
Choosing a region isn't self-serve yet. This page is informational today, and in future you'll be able to manage your data region directly from here.
For now, if your organization needs its data stored in a different region, contact the team and we'll work through your requirements with you. When region selection becomes available, you'll be able to review and change it from this page.
Why residency matters
Knowing where your data physically lives is essential for a few reasons:
- Compliance — many regulations, including GDPR, care about which country or region holds personal data.
- Sovereignty — some organizations are required to keep data within specific borders.
- Latency — data stored closer to where it's used can be faster to work with.
If any of these apply to you, use the table above to confirm where each product currently stores your data, and reach out if you need something different.
